Customs Entry -

An Entry Summary Form must accompany all imported goods. The form should include not only transportation information and importer information, but also the product Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification number, whether the good is subject to anti-dumping/countervailing duties, the value, duty charged, and additional fees. Some entries require approval by other government agencies, including vehicles, and those covered by the Food and Drug Administration; the United States Department of Agriculture; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Remote Location Filing -

Bluebird Customs holds a national permit, allowing Emily Fiscus, CHB to clear entries at any port in the United States electronically.

Importer Security Filing (10+2)-

At least 24 hours of departure, all in-bound ocean vessel shipments must file the following Additional Carrier Requirements: seller and buyer information, importer and consignee numbers, manufacturer, ship to party, HTS classification number, container stuffing location, consolidator, and bill of lading number.

Tariff Classification -

All goods entering the United States must be classified and given a Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) number. This number helps determine the import duty paid.

Duty Drawback -

Some companies may apply to recover 99% of customs duties. Imported materials that are either unused or manufactured into a new export may be eligible for drawback. Furthermore, companies may file duty drawback claims for exports made within the past 3 years, which could provide your company with a one-time windfall. Bluebird Customs charges a percentage of net recuperated duties, and there is no charge for the application.

Customs Bonds -

Imports valued at over $2,500 require a customs bond. Bluebird Customs offers single entry and continuous customs bonds.

ATA Carnets and Temporary Import Bonds -

Goods for trade shows and other temporary imports may enter the US duty free for a limited time period.

 Vehicle Exports/Internal Transaction Number (ITN)-

Bluebird Customs can provide the required Internal Transaction Number (ITN) for vehicle exports to Canada. Submit your application here.
